25’ Sea Hunt Gamefish
WASABI is a 2015 Sea Hunt Gamefish 25 Offshore series boat. This boat is the perfect setup for fishing the Gulf of Mexico. It sports the carolina flair that Sea Hunt boats are known for providing a nice and comfortable ride. This boat is very spacious and stable with a 9' wide beam and measuring in at 25'6" long. Wasabi is powered by twin 150hp four stroke Yamaha outboard and is equipped with top of the line electronics by Garmin. The boat is equipped with a large t-top to provide lots of shade on hot days and lots of seating all around the boat for accommodating groups up to 6 passengers comfortably.

31’ Cape Horn
At Destin Offshore Guides we are running a 2004 Cape Horn 31t. Our Cape Horn is powered with a brand new pair of 2023 300hp Yamaha motors. The boat is outfitted with a Rhodan Trolling motor with gps spot lock and all top of the line electronics from Simrad to keep all our anglers on top of the fish. This boat is vary spacious measuring 31’8” and just over 9’ beam making it a fisherman’s dream with plenty of fishing space for up to 6 passengers with no worries. The boat has two livewells 60 gallons and 27 gallons to allow us to hold plenty of bait for even our all day charters. The boat is equipped with a large t-top to provide lots of shade on hot days and lots of seating all around the boat for accommodating groups up to 6 passengers comfortably.

Bull Sharks
Bull sharks range from 7 to 11.5 feet in length, can weigh between 200 and 500 pounds. Females grow larger than males. The top side of the shark ranges in color from pale to dark gray, fading to white on underside. Bull sharks have short, blunt snouts.

Spinner Sharks
The spinner shark is gray to bronze on the dorsal surface, fading to white on the underside. The second dorsal, anal, and pectoral fins as well as the lower lobe of the caudal fin have clearly defined black tips in adults.

Mako Sharks
The shortfin mako shark is a sleek spindle shaped shark with a long conical snout. This shark has short pectoral fins and a crescent shaped caudal fin. There is a distinct caudal keel on the caudal base. Its second dorsal fin is much smaller than the first.

Black Tip Sharks
Atlantic blacktip sharks are gray to gray-brown, with white on the belly and a conspicuous wedge-shaped band or Z-shaped line on the sides. Their pectoral, dorsal, and tail fins have black tips, but the anal fin is white.

Dusky sharks are wide-ranging coastal and pelagic species that prefer temperate to tropical waters. They are large-bodied, typically grey with dusky margins on the fins. They are an important fisheries resource, targeted and taken as bycatch around the world.

Sandbar Sharks
This brownish-gray shark has a recognizably large and triangular dorsal fin and somewhat long pectoral fins. It averages 6 feet long and about 110-150 lbs. True to its name, this shark prefers the sandy bottoms of coastal areas, and is known for seasonal migration like many other requiem sharks.

Hammerhead Sharks
The body is stout and classically shark-shaped with a markedly tall, curved, first dorsal fin. The great hammerhead is dusky brown to light gray on the dorsal surface, fading to a cream-colored underside, with an asymmetrical caudal fin. They can reach a maximum length of 18-20 feet

Nurse Sharks
The nurse shark is light yellowish-brown to dark brown, and some have small dark spots. It has a flattened body and a broad, rounded head with two conspicuous barbels between the nostrils, which it uses to find food.

Tiger Sharks
It has a broad, flat head with a snout shorter than the width of the mouth, long labial furrows, and a slender body. The caudal fin is long and pointed with reinforcing ridges and its teeth have curved cusps with serrated edges and a deep notch on the outer margin.

Capt Josh Calhoon has been fishing in and around Destin, Fl since he was 6 years old (bribing his older sister for rides to the pier) & has been charter captain for the past 16 years. Josh has fished anywhere from the back bay of the Destin/Ft Walton area to the offshore oil rigs. During Josh's 20+ years of fishing he has had the opportunity to fish with some of Destin's finest captains, & has developed the reputation of being a well respected fisherman as well as being great with kids of all ages.
